Haiku

Here's a haiku that came to me the other day out walking on the town bike path.

my wife suffered from thyroid and had them distroyed with radioactivie isotope. She then was prescribed thyroxine which gave her palpitations. She stopped taking it! And is still alive 20yrs later.

Below is a link to an interesting review of an article in the anthology 'ontology of consciousness.'

I'm glad your wife is still with us. I talked with a woman who had palpitations after taking thyroxine. Her thyroid had returned to normal, she said. My condition is pretty minor I'm sure.

It is an interesting review. The last time I checked Ontology of Consciousness wasn't available through my library, but that was some time ago. Maybe somebody's purchased a copy since then. Courban's essay looks fascinating.
